Celebrate Arts and Aging! Exhibition
First Floor Gallery West at Parkway Central Library
In conjunction with Older Americans month in May, we are partnering with the Philadelphia Corporation of Aging to present its 22nd annual Celebrate Arts & Aging (CAA) exhibition of artwork by artists 55+. The event features more than 165 paintings, drawings, prints and photographs that have been created by older adults (including three centenarians), highlighting the fact that age is just a number and aging is a period of immense growth and productivity. The exhibition runs from May 1-31. Check out related library materials here.
This year’s Celebrate Arts & Aging exhibition is a hybrid event, offering an in-person connection and the opportunity to reach a larger audience virtually. The full collection of original artwork created by older adult artists has been compiled into a virtual show: https://youtu.be/cga47-wdiww
