Notes: The exquisite miniature and gilded borders and initials seen in this opening give some indication of the opulence that fills the leaves of this manuscript. The manuscript was made in Flanders for the wealthy English merchant, John Browne and his wife Agnes. As one of the country's patron saints, St. George was a popular saint for veneration in England.
Notes: The manuscript has been dated to ca. 1460-1470.
