Notes: This miniature by the Flemish artist Willem Vrelant was inserted at a later date into the present manuscript. Vrelant was active in Bruges during the third quarter of the fifteenth century. This miniature, which depicts the dove of the Holy Spirit above God the Father and the Crucified Christ, is a type of Trinity known as the Throne of Mercy.
