Notes: In this miniature, Christ stands in prayer surrounded by the twelve Apostles. Beneath the scene is the Latin text of the Lord's Prayer, known in the Middle Ages as the "Pater noster" (Our father) after the first two words of the Latin prayer. The Pater noster was recited in daily devotions with the Ave Maria.
