Notes: In this fully illustrated psalter, the historiated initials comment on the text of the psalm they illustrate. The initial I beginning Psalm 10, "In domino confido..." (In the Lord I put my trust) is illustrated by David confiding to God. The initial S, beginning Psalm 11, "Salvum me fac domine..." (Save me, O Lord) with David speaking to God. In the lower left margin, the artist makes an irreverent visual pun with the position of ornament and the ape's backside.
Notes: Opening with an initial I, beginning Psalm 10, and an initial S, beginning Psalm 11
Notes: This manuscript has been dated to ca. 1225-1240.
