Notes: Single item: View of the white marble Greek Revival facade of the Royal Insurance Company Building, 306 Walnut Street. Built 1839-40 for the headquarters of the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society after designs by noted architect Thomas Ustick Walter. The triangular pediment, which surmounts a portico of Ionic Columns, was added in 1881 after PSFS sold the building. The pediment contains a sculptural relief of the coat of arms of the Royal Insurance Company of Liverpool. Photograph reproduced in unidentified publication. 21.4 x 19.1
