I really love visiting the library. I'm have a limited income and don't have the funds to go to the shore this year, so I really appreciate the Cooling Centers during the heat wave. All I can say is thank you so much!

This is a great service, and I would really like to utilize this. However, why is it that the entire Northeast only has two branches available -- Frankford and Fox Chase? If you live anywhere in between those branches, there is no where in the neighborhood to go!

I am delighted that libraries will be used as cooling centers and have extended hours during this incredible heat wave. This is just the latest example of how valuable are as full-service institutions and merely as places where books are stored and displayed.

Thank you so much for these extended hours; I think you are really saving lives. I commend the City and the library staff and board for your awareness of how much this is needed.

Hey Sarah, there are other libraries in the Northeast! I frequent Bustleton, Katharine Drexel and Welsh Rd.

Neither Wyoming Branch (Feltonville) or Greater Olney are designated "Cooling Centers"., but, I'm not surprised. Resources, and, or staffing are never allocated here. But, I guess if yopu can drive an air conditioned car to either 28th and Lehigh or Logan, you're good to go!

Yes, Ms. Rachel, but not for the Cooling Center. Only other branch that is open is Northeast for Saturdays and Sundays and not until 7 pm.
