At the front of the parade a large advertising banner is being held aloft by one of the marchers. The banner reads: The Grand American and European Circus/ Broad and Callowhill Streets/ Twenty Five Cents.  To the left of the marchers is a row of stores with some well-dressed shoppers looking on. To the right is a crowd of onlookers, including some excited children. Buildings line the far side of the street and a street car sporting the sign "Centennial Building" can be seen behind the crowd. Other signs hanging above the marchers include: Broadway Oyster House, and Farrel & Cos Safes.
