Depiction of the western portico and ornamental grounds of the bank building designed by architect Benjamin Latrobe. Its principal front was situated on Second Street, near Walnut. Built in 1800, the much-admired building with its Ionic porticos front and back, was the first example of the Greek revival style in the United States.
