Depicts a covered wagon with a team of four horses being driven down South Street in colonial times.
Item pdcc01251, bottom [image dimensions 12.0 cm x 18.7 cm]:
Depicts a wide boulevard lined with grand residences. Well-dressed people promenade in front of elegant buildings and landscaped gardens. The mansion shown in the center of the picture is the home of industrialist William B. Bennett. Also shows a variety of horse-drawn carriages on the street including, in the foreground, a surrey with a fringed canopy. A man and a woman ride horseback.

Shows a residential block on Spring Garden Street. This wide boulevard, which was lined with a mix of mansions, important institutions and heavy industry, connected the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers.
