Halftone reproduction of a photograph of the intersection of Thirteenth Street and Ridge Avenue. A triangular-shaped parcel of land, created by the oblique intersection, is enclosed by a high wooden wall covered with advertising posters. Image used in a magazine article to illustrate the city's neglect of such attenuated sites.

"The specialty of this corner restaurant, as the sign tells, was oysters, particularly oyster stew. The Victorian corner doorway and windows have obviously been applied to a building of an earlier period, a practice as much in vogue then as now."--OPEP, p. 111.
The restaurant with two men standing on either side of entrance; two men standing at side of building; American flag on roof; streetcar tracks run on both streets. Signs on building: "Locker's"; "Locker's Oyster and Dining Rooms"; "Gray's Ales 5 [cents] per glass"; above door: "Restaurant"; and on sign boards leaning against posts: "our 20 [cent] stews"; and "try our 30 [cent] roast dinners".
