Photographic copy of a lithograph depicting a cityscape of Philadelphia, the Delaware River, and the Camden waterfront.  Some of the identifiable features of the city include the market sheds at the foot of Market Street, the spires of Christchurch and Old Swede's Church and of Congress Hall and the State House, Sparks Shot Tower and Dock Creek where it empties into the river. Sailing ships are moored along the waterfront on the Philadelphia side of the river, and on the Camden side a horse-powered ferry is docked. The river is busy with a variety of vessels passing Windmill Island. In the foreground a small group of people say their goodbyes before embarking on the waiting carriage. A woman, standing in the doorway of an Inn on the right, waves to the party. Two men on horseback are galloping in from the left ahead of a horse and cart fully laden with straw. Other people are shown strolling by, and two men are fishing at the water's edge.
