View of the rear of the Merchant's Exchange building with a street scene. This historic building was completed in 1834 and was designed by architect William Strickland in the Greek Revival style. Lithograph made from a drawing by Augustus Kollner c.1848, a German born artist who moved to Philadelphia in 1840. From, "Views of American Cities", a series of fifty-four views drawn by Kollner and lithographed by Deroy, published by Goupil, Vibert & Company, 1848 to 1851. Image size: 29.8 x 25.8cm
