Notes: Item 1, right: Bird's eye view of the Baldwin Locomotive Works. The 39 buildings that made up this huge industrial complex occupied nearly 8 city blocks from Broad Street to 18th Street and Spring Garden Street to Noble Street. Established in 1825, at its height the works employed over 15,000 workers. It relocated to Eddystone in 1928 and ceased production in 1956. Halftone reproduction. 25.8 x 13.5cm.
