Image 1, entire page:  This 1948 Evening Bulletin article, by reporter Barbara Barnes, details the history of a cabin originally built in 1693, and expanded, by a succession of owners in 1801 and 1941, to its eventual state in 1948--as shown at the top of the page.  The image below is of the owners at the time of the article, in the only section that remained of the original cabin.  The farmhouse was known as the Buttonwood House.  Text and reproductions of  two photographs for an Evening Bulletin article, 26 x 29 cm, 11/13/1948.
