Notes:

Shows a horse-drawn trolley in front of the depot in West Philadelphia. Incorporated in 1857, the West Philadelphia Passenger Railway Company was the second street railway to be chartered in Philadelphia. It ran from 3rd Street along Market to its depot at Haverford Avenue. In the 1890s electric trolleys were replacing horses on the tracks.
