The locomotive is on the Callowhill tracks of the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad. Shows the Lawrence Hotel bedecked with flags, probably in celebration of the Centennial Exposition. A horsecar is shown emerging from the far side of the hotel. The Baldwin locomotive works were located nearby from 1835 to 1928.
