Item 1, top: View of Central High School, Broad and Green Streets. The school moved here from its original home on Juniper Street in 1854, where it remained until it moved to its third location in 1900. The building, was designed by notable architect Samuel Sloan, of Sloan & Stewart  Architects.  Reproduction of a photograph for an unidentified publication, undated, 17.5 cm x 14.4 cm.

Item 2, bottom: View of the original home of Central High School, located on Juniper Street, north of Chestnut. Founded in 1836, the institution is the second oldest continuously public high school in the United States. Reproduction for an unidentified publication, 21 x 15.2 cm, undated.
