Halftone reproduction of a two-and-a-half story building with an inn sign swinging high up in an old tree. People lounge under the front porch, beyond which a horse-drawn carriage is parked under the shade of another tree. A white horse painted on the signboard indicates the name of the hostelry as The White Horse Tavern, which is said to have stood on Queen's Highway between Chester and Darby since the 1730s.
