View shows the clubhouse, named the Castle, of the State in Schuylkill. The fishing club,  formed in 1732, is believed to be the oldest social club in the United States. Originally situated opposite the falls of Fairmount on the west bank of the Schuylkill River, the Castle was moved in 1887 to Andalusia, Nicholas Biddle's country estate on the Delaware River in Bucks County. Assembled on the porch are five men wearing long linen aprons. It was a tradition of the club that all cooking was done by official members. On the roof, the cupola is clearly shown. Inside it a bell hangs which was rung to announce that dinner was being served.
