The text is as follows: The old Cheltenham flour mill on York Road was built about the middle of the eighteenth century in what is now Cheltenham, near Jenkintown. The farmers of the vicinity raise large crops of grain, which are delivered to the mill to be turned into flour by modern machinery. During the Revolutionary War the mill was utilized as a shelter for troops, both of the Continental and the British forces.
