Shows the facade of the historic tavern in Merion, Pa. Established in 1704 as the Wayside Inn, the hostelry underwent several name changes including the William Penn Inn and Streepers Tavern, before being given its present name in honor of Anthony Wayne a United States General and statesman.
In the photograph two men are sitting on the lower half of the two-tiered balcony, and another stands nearby.
